MADRID (AP) – Real Sociedad and Villarreal face off this weekend in an attempt to continue their career for the Spanish league title.
The leader of the League, the Society, receives on Sunday Villarreal, third, as Barcelona and Real Madrid fight.
Sociedad won the league in 1981 and 1982, but has not finished more than the moment since 2003, while Villarreal’s only position in 2008 was its most productive season.
Atletico Madrid, a team that has won the championship in addition to Real Madrid and Barcelona in the last 16 seasons, has done their part to stay in the contest: Atletico, secondly, beat the Society by 3 issues and led Villarreal by one point, but played two games less than any of the teams.
