The 34-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the club and the resolution until Silva’s consent.
According to a report published in Goal.com, the Real Sociedad’s online page collapsed shortly after the club showed David Silva’s signing.
“Real Sociedad has reached an agreement with David Silva for the Canary footballer to play for Txuri Urdin’s team for the next two seasons, until June 30, 2022,” the club said in an official statement.
“The player, who arrives on the loose after leaving Manchester City, will join the first team in the short or long term,” he added.
Silva had played 436 games for Manchester City in 10 seasons.He has won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups and 3 Community Shields in his time with the club.
His last for the club came here last week when the team lost the Champions League quarter-finals to Lyon in Lisbon.
On Monday, City announced its goal of honoring the midfielder with a statue at Etihad Stadium.
The club will also dedicate a flat with a mosaic of tradition to Silva at its City Football Academy.(ANI)
