Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is under investigation over allegations of “inappropriate behaviour” and has spoken out about the news in the past.

On Monday morning we learned that Red Bull Formula 1 boss Christian Horner is being investigated through the team over allegations of “inappropriate behaviour”. Horner has been with the team since 2005.
The news was first reported by De Telegraaf (Erik Van Heren) a Dutch language newspaper. The article, per a translation, says that the company kicked off an “independent investigation” after learning of the allegations that Horner engaged in inappropriate behavior toward one particular Red Bull employee.
The Daily Mail added that the alleged behaviour was “incredibly controlling” towards a colleague. The Sunday Times also reported this detail (subscription required).
“I absolutely deny those claims,” Horner told De Telegraaf on Monday morning (original: “Ik ontken deze beweringen volledig”). A spokesperson gave ESPN a quote, saying it “completely rejects those claims. “

“Today’s confirmation of the investigation follows 36 hours of denials by the Milton Keynes-based team of any alleged wrongdoing. Horner also branded the allegations ‘crazy’, in a message protesting his innocence to MailOnline.
According to the Daily Mail, De Telegraaf’s original report was removed after threats of legal action, possibly by Horner or Red Bull, but was reposted on the site after another online page reported the same information.
It is too early to say what the final results of the independent inquiry into Horner’s conduct will be. Red Bull is expected to unveil its 2024 car later this month, and the 2024 Formula 1 season will begin with pre-season testing on the 21st. It’s a time for the team principal’s presence, but it’s arguably understandable that he will have to step down as the investigation progresses.
