Real Madrid joined the race to point to Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai after the midfielder’s solo purpose led Hungary to the European Championship on Thursday night.
Szoboszlai scored the winning goal in the 92nd minute to defeat Iceland 2–1 in the Euro qualifying play-off, picking up the ball in the defensive zone, overtaking several defences and crushing a shot from outside the area.
Real Madrid and headhunter Juni Calafat have pursued hungry young men with prospects for expansion in recent years, as evidenced by the signings of Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, Rodrygo and Luka Jovic who galactic at the peak of their careers.
