Thankfully, there is still time to rectify the situation before the Red Bull Soapbox Race arrives in London this summer.
At this year’s event, which will take place at Alexandra Palace in June, 60 new groups will be performing (or stepping up) to see if they can become the most productive amateur grandstand builder in the country.
Many will prepare to face obstacles such as the famous bone rattle or wedge, while others will simply wait in front of the spectators. But whether it’s in the Mystery Machine or Del Boy’s car, one thing is guaranteed: it’s going to be hilarious. .

The Red Bull Soap Box Race is an extravagant and glorious festival in which amateur drivers race through a track of impediments in handmade non-powered cars, with an extravagant design such as the Batmobile or the Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Teams are judged on the design of their grandstand, their time in the race and their functionality at the start.
Over the years, the race has been known for its crazy vehicles, fun pre-race dances, and grimace-worthy accidents.
Of course, rule number one is to make a fool of yourself and have fun. But otherwise, during the day, 60 groups of fans compete on the downhill circuit in front of thousands of spectators. Teams will have to perform a dance or exhibition, depending on the theme of their grandstand, before following the course and overcoming notorious obstacles such as The Water Roller, The Wedge, The Bone Rattler and The Kicker.
Teams are judged according to 3 criteria: artistic design, race end time and introductory functionality and, in the end, first, second and third position are crowned. Winners get a range of prizes, plus trophies, cash, and perks like tickets to Formula 1 races. .

The first Red Bull Soapbox race took place in 2000 in Belgium. Over the years, it has been celebrated all over the world, from Germany to Jordan.
Since 2000, the Red Bull Soapbox Race has been held more than two hundred times around the world, in countries such as the United States, Austria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria and many more.
The race takes place at least once a year and tends to take place in the UK every two years. The last race in the UK was held in July 2022.

This year’s race will take place on Saturday, June 22 and will run from 2 p. m. to 8 p. m.
Red Bull’s racecourse will be located this year at the iconic Alexandra Palace.
Best known for being the home of television, rock concerts, and the World Darts Championship, All Pally is a venue in North London, in the Haringey district.
To get there, you can take the Great Northern Rail or Thameslink line to Alexandra Palace station or take the Piccadilly line to Wood Green.

Tickets cost £22. 10 for under-25s and £33. 03 for over-25s. Two-year-olds are free.
It should also be noted that while there is wheelchair access, there are no official seats on the pitch and folding chairs will not be allowed.
