Latrell Sprewell celebrates her 50th birthday on Tuesday, 15 years after the end of her NBA playing career after 4 All-Star Games and a 1999 NBA Finals appearance with the New York Knicks.
Sprewell decided through the Golden State Warriors with the 24th pick in the 1992 NBA Draft. The University of Alabama product was decided by the 1993 NBA’s Second All-Rookie Team.
He had a 1993–94 escape crusade that earned him his first All-Star appearance before being named to the first All-NBA team and the all-Defensive NBA Team at the end of the season.
The Wisconsin local arrived at the All-Star Game twice more over the next three years with the Dubs before joining the Knicks in 1998.
Their first season in New York ended with one to the final, where the Knicks failed against Tim Duncan, David Robinson and the San Antonio Spurs. While his team was dismantled through the Spurs giant in five games, he averaged 27 issues in the series. .
Sprewell won his first All-Star selection with the Knicks in 2001, then finished his career with two seasons as a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
