Johnny Phillips of Sky Sports says the Wolves are a resolution for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic before the January move-in window.
Phillips revealed the data in an Express and Star column, in which he adds that Jorge Mendes is in a position to close the deal.
The Serbian, for whom Real Madrid paid 65 million euros (60 million pounds), is said to be forced to compete with Raúl Jiménez.
Jovic, Jiménez’s partner at Benfica, has had problems since moving to Spain, scoring only two goals in 32 games with Los Blancos.
Phillips points out that Mendes is in a privileged position to negotiate a deal, due to his relationship with Benfica, and also to the fact that he went from Serbian to Jose Mourinho while at Manchester United.
Possibly fighting Zinedine Zidane, Jovic has proved fatal when he’s fit.
The 23-year-old scored 36 goals in matches with Eintracht Frankfurt before signing for Santiago Bernabéu.
His form for the Bundesliga team led his national team coach, Mladen Krstajic, to compare him to Uruguayan icon Luis Suarez.
In an interview with T-Online, through the official Bundesliga website, Krstajic said: “He is a classic scorer with the right ball and a smart understanding of the game. I’d probably compare him to Luis Suarez.
“He is brave and harmful at all times because he is waiting for his possibility or any neglect of the opponent. “
If Wolves and Mendes could come to this agreement, it would be a primary blow.
