At least 10 members of the Colorado State University football team allege that coaches suggested that players fail to report the symptoms of the coronavirus and threatened to bet if quarantined, which would be a flagrant violation of public fitness rules if the team is facing a coronavirus outbreak.
The 10 team members, made up of players and staff, contacted the Colorado newspaper to find out what’s going on with the team.
According to those who spoke to the paper, about a quarter of the team, 27 players, were absent because of Covid-19 before the university suspended education after July 29.
The state of Colorado has also replaced touch search reports so players can continue training, the players said.
Joe Parker, the university’s athletic director, said the state of Colorado had a smart reaction plan for Covid-19, but if the accusations against the coaches are true, that’s unacceptable behavior.

But at the Pac-12, a high-level conference, many players said they were seated until security measures were improved, organizing under the hashtag #WeAreUnited. Players are also calling for racial reform.
Much of the 2020 school football season remains uncertain. It is not yet known which game fans will be allowed to attend and how many there will be.
The Colorado State Rams are far from a powerhouse in school football. The team has traditionally had a loss record and played at a minor conference, Mountain West, where it has not been champion since 2002.
