The Philadelphia Eagles turn to open receiver DeSean Jackson for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.
Since returning to the Eagles in 2019, Jackson has struggled on the field and missed 14 games last season, adding to Philadelphia’s playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Things haven’t taken a step forward for Jackson so far in 2020. The 3-time Pro Bowler missed three consecutive games of week 4-6 due to a hamr tendon injury. He returned to Week 7 against the New York Giants only to suffer an injury. ankle after his foot jammed under his frame a return of free space.
The Eagles have been decimated by injuries all season. Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, Zach Ertz and Miles Sanders are the offensive players on the team who have missed multiple games.
Jackson didn’t have much effect on the games he played in 2020. The three-time Pro Bowler has 155 yards and no touchdowns in thirteen receptions in four games.
Despite how bad this year has gone, the Eagles still have a chance to win the NFC East. Having Jackson healthy gives Philadelphia a little flavor as he tries to achieve a critical victory over a department rival.
