The Denver Broncos QB reportedly arrived at the Steelers’ facility in the afternoon. Their meeting lasted several hours and included a lengthy meeting with Steelers CO Arthur Smith, according to CBS Sports reporter Josina Anderson.
Wilson, who reportedly seemed “happy” from his reunion with Smith, reached out to some Steelers players ahead of his stop with the team.
I’ve heard that Russell Wilson has had a wonderful convention in Pittsburgh so far. I told him that he sat with the Arthur Smiths’ OC #Steelers “for hours” and that he “seemed happy. “I also told him that Wilson “didn’t do his homework” by contacting some players ahead of time, according to the source.

The Steelers were one of several groups connected to Wilson following the announcement that the Broncos would release the QB at the start of the loose signing era next week.
The meeting with Wilson flies in the face of previous reports that the Steelers were firmly committed to current quarterback Kenny Pickett.
Before flying to Pittsburgh, Wilson reportedly had an “exploratory meeting” with an NFC team.
Wilson played in both games for the Broncos in 2023. He threw for a career-high 3,070 yards with 26 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. Denver went 7-8 with Wilson in the middle last season.
