The Giants are still in a position to eliminate cornerman Deandre Baker.
Baker, the cornerer facing armed charges, will be released this week, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Giants have recently hinted that they plan to cut baker’s way, they seem to have to wait until they can be sure that their moves allow the team to cancel the promises of their contract. Baker signed a four-year, $10. 5 million contract as the first contract – round pick up last year.
This selection will be a major failure. The Giants liked Baker so much that they changed their fourth- and fifth-round picks to move from the 37th to the 30th to recruit him. He didn’t play very well as a rookie last year, and now his NFL career is probably over and his giants career is.
