Although the January transfer window is fast approaching, Juventus are also exploring opportunities for the summer.
According to Il Massaggero JuventusNews24, the Bianconeri are now contemplating signing Lazio winger Felipe Anderson.
The 30-year-old has been aware of a play that is about to expire lately. Therefore, unless he manages to reach an agreement with the capital club, he will take advantage of a flexible move next July.
As the source explains, Lazio president Claudio Lotito recently suspended contract negotiations because he was not impressed with the player’s recent performances.
However, the Biancocelesti coach would have realised that he now risks wasting the Brazilian with Juventus entering the fray.
The winger enjoyed a memorable first spell in the Italian capital between 2013 and 2018 before earning a big-money transfer to West Ham United.
After a disappointing spell in the Premier League, Anderson returned to Lazio in the summer of 2021, temporarily regaining his form under Maurizio Sarri.
However, the whole team has been disorganized since the beginning of the season, wasting a lot of things in the championship. Lately, they are in ninth place in the Serie A standings.
For his part, the Brazilian has contributed one goal and 4 assists in 14 Serie A games. He also has just one assist in five Champions League games.
We shall see if this story will catch fire in the coming weeks or rapidly fade from the news.
