RALEIGH, N.C. – After a break at all NC State Athletics sports activities on Monday night, this can also force additional adjustments on the road for the football program. According to a report by Joe Giglio of WRAL Sports Fan, the ACC would possibly have to change the season opening of NC State as opposed to Virginia Tech e late this month.
Giglio reports that of the 22 new positive instances discovered under the NC State program, the football team was included in the positive tests. During Saturday’s scrum, “more than a dozen players were excluded from education due to COVID protocols,” according to Giglio.
The CCA Medical Advisory Group has contact search rules in its position that stipulate that each and every player who contacts a positive tester must be quarantined for 14 days. This means that the player will not be able to exercise this quarantine with the team.
This is a challenge for NC State, which is expected to start its 18-day season in Blacksburg, Virginia, unlike Virginia Tech. With the season opening for any of the groups scheduled for September 12, the ACC can explore moving the game to the first opening date for any of the groups, scheduled for September 26.
NC State has already begun to take more steps to combat the virus, spreading its tests from once a week to twice a week. That resolution was taken last week, according to Fred Demarest, senior athletic communications director at NC State, who noted that the resolution is expressed on the football program.
The Department of Athletics has recorded 22 new positive cases of viruses after 693 new tests since the last report on August 14, bringing the total number of positive effects to 30 in total over 2053 tests for the total department. At this time, no additional main points have been provided in a schedule for an imaginable return to the activities of the athletics department.
