According to Marca Argentina, Aston Villa will beat Everton with the signing of Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero.
Everton has reportedly sought out Argentina’s foreign goalkeeper, however, the 33-year-old will sign for Villa for a play payment of 8 million euros (7.13 million pounds).
The report claimed that the former goalkeeper of Racing Club and Sampdoria just one step away from completing his signing for Villa.
Good signing for Aston Villa?
While Tom Heaton is still recovering from injury and Pep Reina has left Villa after a ceded era, technician Dean Smith will have to call a new goalkeeper.
Romero could possibly be United’s second goalkeeper, but there is no doubt that Argentina’s exterior is brilliant between the posts.
The 33-year-old, described through then-United coach Louis van Gaal, as a “very talented goalkeeper” in The Guardian in July 2015, did well at the Red Devils when he was called up to action, and also won 96 games with Argentina.
Villa reveled in defensive difficulties last season, and a quality goalkeeper from Romero will make Villans bigger and more powerful behind.
