Residential and advertising proposals for a key access to Manchester.

Plans have been submitted for a prime residential and advertising allotment at a key gateway to Manchester.

Forshaw’s Land

The Bolton-based developer acquired the one-acre site, adjacent to VOX Manchester and Cornbrook Metrolink, from coastal regeneration specialists, Peel Waters, which is making plans for the wider Manchester Waters site.

The proposed 24-storey progression would include 224 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and five-, two-, three- and four-bedroom penthouses with personal terraces.

As a component of the project, spaces were designed to play, socialize and interact with other neighbors, with the inclusion of a games room, community coworking spaces, a dining room, a yoga studio and a gym for the residents.

Community building and socialising will be further enhanced through the commercial areas of the land which will be used for additional convenience areas and a separate café, which will offer a convenient area and service for Manchester Waters residents, workers, commuters and visitors on their way to and from the city.

Plans also include a four-story aparthotel with 87 rooms. Located between Manchester city centre and Old Trafford, it offers a prime location and more venues to meet the demands of Greater Manchester’s growing economy guests.

Leach Rhodes Walker appointed the architect for the commission and influenced the design of the progression from the historical commercial context of the site. The proposed creation of this high-quality front-end construction will mark the point of arrival in the city and Manchester Waters, as well as complementing other new construction in the vicinity of the site.

Lyndon Forshaw, Managing Director, Forshaw Group, said: “I’m really excited by our proposals for this hugely important gateway site that delivers on the ambitions of the Cornbrook Regeneration Framework.

“The progression will mark the gateway to Manchester city centre, delivering much-needed new homes as well as a new high-end branded hotel. This will be our largest residential commission to date and will deliver the first hotel under our prestigious new Vivere Aparthotels logo.

The proposed progression at Forshaw will be part of a wider Manchester Waters masterplan to regenerate derelict land and bring much-needed quality homes and services to the area.

James Whittaker, chief executive of Peel Waters, said: “We are pleased to be working in partnership with Forshaw Group to provide the opportunity to create the high quality housing, accommodation and amenity areas needed in the region.

“The plans proposed through Forshaw Group complement our vision for the wider Manchester Waters Quarter, which will develop the site into a sustainable mixed-use community, offering a diversity of inclusive living features in one of the Greater Manchester’s most desirable locations. Manchester. .

Manchester Waters is part of Peel Waters, a UK-wide portfolio of vibrant and innovative, waterfront developments, delivering large scale, sustainable regeneration projects, creating jobs, economic growth, new homes and new public realm across the country.
