Leeds United is in a position to register an option-to-buy loan offer by Rodrigo De Paul after not being able to settle for the terms of a permanent transfer, Football Insider said.
United has not given up hope of signing Udinese’s game creator before the October 5 deadline despite the frustration of the negotiations.
Leeds told Football Insider that one option to discuss is an initial loan for a permanent move for a constant payment next year.
This can bring United closer to the payment of 37 million pounds that recent reports claim the Italian club needs for its assets.
A stalemate in the conversations also results for the player himself.
Leeds fanzine The Square Ball commented on Twitter last night that De Paul needs to sign for Marcelo Bielsa’s team, but is waiting for Udinese to accept an offer.
De Paul replied, “Yes” and added a cross emoji before deleting the tweet a little later.
This revealed last week that De Paul wanted to be transferred to Elland Road and had already accepted non-public conditions.
Juventus, Inter Milan and Zenit St. Petersburg have also aroused interest, but the glamour of the Premier League attracts him as the opportunity to paint with the celebrated coach Bielsa.
Leeds is willing to recruit a game creator who can dictate the game the same way Pablo Hernandez has for the past four years.
De Paul made 34 Serie A appearances last season, scoring seven and offering six assists.
In 146 games with Udinese, 17-time Argentine and former Valencia star has contributed 25 goals and 25 assists.
In news, Leeds United has put its appeals in a new-choice signing following the collapse of the chase ahead.
