This afternoon provided a glimpse of what’s happening on the scene at La Liga giants Barcelona.
This comes at a time when Blaugrana leaders are striving to identify new players to add to their ranks.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Joan Laporta has already sent a group of scouts to the Africa Cup of Nations.
At least six players are being monitored during the tournament by the Catalans, to assess their potential long-term movement targets.
The players included are Yankuba Minteh (Newcastle United), Pape Matar Sarr (Tottenham Hotspur), Dango Ouattara (Bournemouth), Ousmane Diomande (Sporting CP), Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge) and Ernest Nuamah (Olympique Lyonnais).
A common theme here is that all six are 23 years old or younger.
In turn, this could signal a change in Barcelona’s move strategy, amid the club’s long-standing monetary woes.
