Frosinone is the newest Italian team to enter the race as interest in Rocco Vata intensifies.

The young Celtic player has a contract this summer. The Hoops have yet to enter into negotiations with the 18-year-old and it is possible that he will leave this summer for just £350,000 in education expenses. The Republic of Ireland’s under-21 team are already on the radar of Italian rivals Turin. The Irish youth market is one in which Italian clubs have declined markedly.

Frosinone had Vata monitored when he was out with Ireland’s under-19 team in Albania earlier this month and they were impressed. Nottingham Forest also saw an offer for Vata who rejected the summer window and are expected to renew their interest this summer. The clubs also saw Celtic’s youth net last week in their International Premier League Cup defeat to Brighton.
