Roma Latest Rumored Landing Spot for Toronto FC Outcast

Roma need to bring in a striker to complete the squad and, in addition to chasing Tommaso Baldanzi, they have introduced Federico Bernardeschi. The striker is keen to return to Serie A and is linked with Juventus.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Giallorossi have fought for the Empoli star. The Tuscan side would sell him outright and in exchange for a valid offer. They will be more than satisfied with staying with him until the end of the season. There is not much to finish. They want to find the right formula to succeed.

Instead, Bernardeschi would be a much easier option, as Roma would just need to come to terms with Toronto FC on how to split his rich wages. He’d have to agree to lower them a little to facilitate the move. The brass isn’t particularly enthused, but they might struggle to find an alternative.

The Giallorossi must compose tactically with some of their players to have more ammunition. Galatasaray still have Zeki Celik. Cagliari, Verona, Genoa and Turin are chasing Marash Kumbulla. Andrea Belotti is close to Fiorentina, but Daniele De Rossi would like to stay with him.

It wouldn’t be the most interesting acquisition, but they are complete with Azzurri and would plug a gap at a moderate price.
