Roma legend Totti’s father dies of coronavirus

The father of Italian club legend Roma Francesco Totti died on Monday for the new coronavirus.

The Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported that Enzo Totti, 76, died of COVID-19 at the Spallanzani hospital in Rome, where he was being treated.

The same source added that Enzo had a central attack a few years ago, hitting him in a high-risk organization for the virus.

On Twitter, Rome presented his condolences to the Totti family.

Former Italian Francesco Totti, 44, has spent his entire 24-year career in Rome.

Playing in the positions of offensive and offensive midfielder, Totti has scored 307 and produced 183 assists in 785 club appearances.

He is also captain of the Rome national team.

Roma led through Totti won the name of the Italian Serie A league in the 2000–01 season.

He helped the Italian national team win the 2006 World Cup.

Totti retired in 2017.
