Noah Okafor’s long career at AC Milan seems more doubtful than ever, as a Bundesliga side have opened negotiations.
It’s been about four months since Milan 2-2 in the season opener, when Okafor scored what is so far his only goal this season. He has had departures and minutes with Paulo Fonseca, the training replacement with Sergio Conceicao clears the table for everyone.
According to Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, RB Leipzig have started negotiations to sign Okafor from Milan as a new striker and have started their search strongly.
Talks continue with “positive feelings” about the possibility of reaching an agreement, and it seems clear that Milan are willing to compare the sale of the Swiss foreigner after only 18 months at the club.
It must be noted that Okafor is still back in Italy having been sidelined by a calf injury, though he should be back in the next few days and thus it is unlikely that it would impact a potential departure.
According to previous reports, the 24-year-old could now be an “absolutely transferable” player in the eyes of Milan officials.
