Romano: ‘Positive feelings’ – RB Leipzig push to sign Milan striker

Noah Okafor’s future at AC Milan seems to be in more doubt now than ever before, with a Bundesliga side having opened talks.

About four months have passed since Milan 2-2 Torino in the first game of the season, when Okafor scored what is to date his only goal this season. He had starts and minutes under Paulo Fonseca, though the coaching change to Sergio Conceicao cleans the slate for everyone.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, RB Leipzig have opened negotiations to sign Okafor from Milan as a new striker and have begun their search strongly.

Talks continue with “positive feelings” about the possibility of reaching an agreement, among which Milan’s willingness to compare the sale of the Swiss foreigner after only 18 months at the club stands out.

It should be noted that Okafor is still back in Italy after being sidelined due to a calf injury, although he is expected to return in the coming days so it is unlikely to affect a potential exit.

According to previous reports, the 24-year-old could now be an “absolutely transferable” player in the eyes of Milan officials.
