FC Barcelona and Ronald Koeman have reached an agreement for the Dutchman to take over as first-team coach until 30 June 2022.
The presentation and next press convention of the new blue coach will take place from 18:00 CEST at the Auditori 1899.

Return to Camp Nou, the blaugrana legend, Wembley’s hero, who gave Barca his first Victory in the European Cup. This time, however, he will do so as a coach as the Dutchman brings more than 20 years of delight as a guyager and 8 trophies on his CV. Ronald Koeguy arrives at FC Barcelona after coaching the Premier League, La Liga, the Dutch league, the Portuguese league and also at foreign level with Holland.
Koeman began his formative career at FC Barcelona as assistant coach of the first team, then as coach of Barca B in the 1998–99 season.
The following season he went to Vitesse where he remained until 2001, when he signed for Ajax Amsterdam, where he won two league names, a Dutch Cup and a Dutch Super Cup. In 2005, he signed for Portugal and Benfica, where he won the Portuguese Super Cup. The former Barca player returned to Holland in 2006 when he succeeded PSV Eindhoven, winning the name of the Eredivisie in 2007.
After a good fortune with PSV, he returned to Spain and Valencia, winning the Copa del Rey. This followed a return to his local country, where he won the 2009 Super Cup with AZ Alkmaar before training Feyenoord between 2011 and 2014. Koeman headed to the Premier League for the 2014–15 season with Southampton before moving to Everton in 2016, where he spent 18 months. In 2018, he took over as coach of the Holland national team before returning to FC Barcelona as coach.
