Former Barcelonan Ronald Koeman has been appointed new coach of the Catalan club.
The Dutch coach has been closely in line with the position since Barca tied 8-2 for Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals on Friday.

A on the club’s official website said: “FC Barcelona and Ronald Koeman have reached an agreement for the Dutchman to take over as coach of the first team until June 30, 2022. “
Koeman spent six years as a player at Camp Nou and scored the winning goal in the European Cup final against Sampdoria in 1992.
LaLiga is expected to return on September 12, leaving Koeman with little time to call a new boss and start rebuilding an aging team.
