Ronaldo denied the rumors

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague sent world football to dream land this week when he claimed that Italian giants Juventus were buying groceries around superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

“The explanation for why Cristiano Ronaldo has been connected to the PSG is not so much that the PSG is contemplating having it, is because (Ronaldo’s agent) Jorge Mendes have told him to locate a team for Ronaldo,” Balague told BBC Radio Five Live. “We’ve noticed it in the last six months, he connected with Real Madrid.

“They said there was no chance, that he probably wouldn’t come back. And there have been discussions about MLS because Juventus needs to get rid of that salary. It’s as radical as that. It has been presented everywhere, adding to Barcelona.”

With the growing monetary burden of clubs due to the effects of the global pandemic, Juventus will reduce its wage bill for the coming season.

But Ronaldo’s promotion has nothing to do with the board.

According to the Spanish media outlet OUTLET AS, a player alleging that rumours of a Barcelona candidacy are “completely false”.

As Balague told the BBC, a resolution would be difficult to begin given Ronaldo’s payroll.

He said: “I’m not sure they can get rid of it without a hitch [because] with the kind of cash that still makes – 23 million euros net – wins at Real Madrid and I think he matched the wages when he went to Juventus.

“Who’s going to pay that kind of money?”

United joins Chilwell Chase

Manchester United will compete with Chelsea for the left-back of Leicester Ben Chilwell in the Daily Mirror.

The Red Devils fought after Luke Shaw suffered a serious ankle injury, young Brandon Williams was promising in position.

While England Chilwell, 23, is one of Frank Lampard’s top goals at Chelsea, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is interested in reuniting the Foxes star with former teammate Harry Maguire.

But it would probably be unreasonable: Leicester expects up to 80 million pounds (A$146 million).

Sale of Valencia fire

Things are for the Spanish La Liga club in Valencia.

Earlier this month, Ferran Torres, one of The most promising teenagers in Spanish football, sold to Manchester City for 20.8 million pounds.

The club would have put ALL other players up for sale, with the exception of the 25-year-old central defender, Jose Gaya, a long-time captain.

Valencia then lost captain Dani Parejo to Villarreal’s rivals on a loose transfer, no less.

And former Arsenal star Francis Coquelin has joined AUSSI profitably: the payout would be only 6 million pounds, well below the 10.6 million pounds paid through Valencia to Arsenal for his in 2018.

They finished the season in the ninth after firing two coaches on the campaign.
