Sadio Mané’s agent, Bjorn Bezemer, denied rumors about a possible departure from Al-Nassr, stating his satisfaction in Saudi Arabia despite rumors of a surprising return to Red Bull Salzburg.
Since his move to Al-Nassr in the summer of 2023, Mané has scored thirteen goals in the Saudi Pro League and helped the club secure a position in the AFC Elite Champions League next season. Reports in Austria have speculated that Mane could simply make a nostalgic return to Red Bull Salzburg, the club he said goodbye to in 2014. The recent appointment of Pep Lijnders as coach of the Austrian team has only fueled those rumors, given his Shared history in Liverpool.
However, Bezemer put those rumors to rest. As Al-Nassr prepares for the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League season that starts in August, expectations are high for Mane to don his colors.
“I have not had any meetings with the clubs regarding Sadio,” Bezemer told Fabrizio Romano. “He is preparing for the season at Al Nassr and certainly has no intention of leaving. His club is incredibly pleased with him. “
Mane’s time at Salzburg was a lot of fun, as he racked up forty-five goals in 87 games while earning the Austrian Bundesliga name in 2014 before joining Southampton in the Premier League.
“I love the city and the club before and even now,” Mane said in 2019, ahead of the UEFA Champions League clash between Liverpool and Salzburg. The Senegalese striker scored in a thrilling 4-3 win over his former team at Anfield.
