This morning, Newcastle boss Steve Bruce gave an update on his team’s fitness at the club’s next assembly with Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Magpies are expected to return to action Monday night in a Premier League showdown with Graham Potter’s men.
Newcastle will initiate the procedures for a bounce result, on the back of a recent spell depressingly.
Geordie’s 3-1 loss to Tottenham the week did not win him a four-game winning streak, adding a trio of consecutive defeats.

The slowdown caused Newcastle to fall to 13th in the Premier League, Everton and Southampton standings.
As such, Bruce’s men will no doubt be desperate to secure at least a share of the spoils at the Amex, to ensure they don’t allow what once looked such a positive campaign to fizzle out into mediocrity.
The magpies, however, if they hope to get things back on track on Monday night, they’ll probably be forced to do so without a lot of key players.
As noted above, prior to his team’s trip to East Sussex, Bruce provided an update on his team’s fitness this morning.
And the news far from being positive, with the Newcastle manager confirming that no less than 8 of the club’s stars, adding Allan Saint-Maximin in shape, had “big doubts” to present:
