IPSWICH, England (AP) — Mohamed Salah broke a Premier League record for goals in Liverpool’s season opener.
By scoring Liverpool’s second goal in a 2-0 win over Ipswich on Saturday, the Egyptian star raised his tally of goals in the first of a Premier League season to nine.
Salah previously shared the record of eight goals with Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer.
Salah, 32, joined Liverpool in 2017.
