The Spurs of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro want to look forward and victories in their next two games can replace the total dynamics of their season.
Benfica will stop at White Hart Lane on Thursday in the Europa League, before Arsenal cut short for Sunday’s North London derby, also on White Hart Lane.
In statements to Tottenham Hotspur’s official website, Sandro were suffering after the weekend’s defeat to Chelsea.
He said: “After a game like this, you can’t hurt yourself, we’re all hurt. We all feel unhappy with that marker and our love.
“This game is a thing of the afterlife and we have to move on. Now we’re ahead of the next vital games. A win can replace everything and we have to finish (the season) in style.
“We don’t give up. We know it’s complicated, but we’re Tottenham, we’re going. It will be complicated but after Benfica we have Arsenal and if we win those matches, it can replace everything. We’ll never give up.
The first challenge is Benfica’s afternoon and Sandro believes it will be a difficult match, but is waiting to face a Portuguese team for the first time in his career.
“It’s a very tradition-rich club,” added the Brazilian midfielder.
“They have a strong field team and center. We’re going to have a tough game. It will be a vital match for me because I have never played against a Portuguese team, so it will be great to play against them.
“Both groups are strong and can happen. “
