O presidente do Santos confirmou esta terça-feira, através de uma publicação nas redes sociais, ter recebido uma proposta formal do Benfica por Marcos Leonardo.
On Instagram, Marcelo Teixeira said he had introduced Rui Pedro Braz, the coaches’ sporting director, to Santos, who had been approved or brought together to “be even more in touch between the clubs” and change straitjackets.
“At the end of matchday 3, in Santos, we managed to get Senator Rui Pedro Braz, sporting director of SL Benfica, to ensure that the clubs also had telephone conversations with Senator Rui Costa, president of the classic Portuguese association. which formalizes a proposal from striker Marcos Leonardo,” he wrote on Instagram.
Brazilian website Globoesporte reports that the offer will be between €15 million and €20 million.
