CHESTER, Pennsylvania (AP) – Sergio Santos scored 3 and the Philadelphia Union beat Toronto FC 5-0 on Saturday.
Philadelphia (12-3-5) tied for first place with Toronto (12-3-5) at Major League Soccer’s most sensitive stadium. The Union also advanced to 7-0-0 at home this season.
It’s Toronto’s first loss in 10 games.
Santos scored at 27, 63, and 68 minutes. He came in with four goals this season.
It’s the fourth hat trick in syndicate history. C. J. Sapong, the last Philadelphia player to achieve the feat, opposed to the New York Red Bulls in May 2017.
