Welsh international striker Rabbi Matondo has caused a social media stir in Germany on Tuesday.
Rabbi Matondo left Man City to join Schalke in January 2019. Schalke paid Man City 10 million pounds and he signed a four-and-a-half-year contact which will run until 2023.
This season, 19-year-old Rabbi Matondo played 20 games for Schalke in the Bundesliga, scoring twice.
Today, a picture has appeared on social media of Rabbi Matondo wearing a Jadon Sancho top.
The picture was posted online by a personal trainer called Sam O’Sullivan.
Wenn du denkst es geht nicht mehr, kommt von irgendwo Matondo mit dem BVB-Trikot her. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that the image of Rabbi Matondo wearing a Borussia Dortmund shirt would go viral.
Schalke and Borussia Dortmund are eternal enemies.
The Revierderby is one of the fiercest and best rivalries in German football.
That’s unclear.
It should also be noted that the original image has been deleted from Instagram.
However, it’s worth adding that Rabbi Matondo grew up in the Man City academy alongside Jadon Sancho.
Will Jadon Sancho be moving to Manchester United this summer?
The Evening Standard have been flagged up on Tuesday for posting the headline “Man United agree Sancho fee”.
This headline can be seen here.
Lower down the page, the Evening Standard report that “Man United agree £85m Sancho fee”, however there is no supporting evidence to back this up.
That’s not obfuscation; it’s just a lie. pic.twitter.com/K2OXSOHY5f
