Cott Parker believes Fulham has what it takes for The Survival of the Premier League after a close loss to Manchester United, but has stayed on the street “big moments” opposed to their side.
Fulham has faced a tough run in his last three games, pitting Tottenham, Chelsea and United against each other. Parker’s men tied 1-1 with the Spurs and inspired Chelsea and the Red Devils before falling into single-purpose defeats at Craven Cottage.
The Cottagers scored a good goal for Ademola Lookman from the start against United on Wednesday night, but Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba scored to send the look of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back to the board’s sensible.
The 2–1 loss to United left Fulham with four protection issues and played one more game than Burnley, who is ranked 17th, but Parker feels there is a lot of optimism to learn from his recent performances.
“I am satisfied and at the same time disappointing, which shows how far we have come,” Parker told the BBC’s Day Match. “We have resisted the most productive groups in recent matches.
“We caused them a lot of disorder, but the big moments of the game, we didn’t execute them this time. I love the team right now and I’m proud. We’ve painted tirelessly and we’ll paint it. Training to run those opportunities” and I hope it gets better.
“[Ademola Lookman] had plenty of time to recover and it was an end. We lost him for a mistake and a paul Pogba purpose. Alphonse Areola has been around all season and will be the first to do so. a mistake today but he’ll be back.
“I saw a team that seemed threatening and did everything we could to get back, but we’re going back. The next challenge is to stay where we are and not let us down. “
