The Big 12 announced Tuesday that it would continue with a plan to play a 10-game schedule: nine opposed to the conflicting parties to the convention and one opposed to a non-convention enemy. The Iowa state season is scheduled to begin on September 12 against Louisiana at Jack Trice Stadium. The first Big 12 Fit will take place on September 26 at the TCU. The program includes six house games and 4 on the way.
The letter defines 3 for the capacity of the stadium:
“Our purpose is to give students-athletes and coaches the opportunity to play football matches in an environment with as many spectators as possible,” Pollard’s letter said. “The quality of all participants, enthusiasts and staff remains our most sensitive priority. That’s why such extensive and comprehensive virus mitigation and capacity plans are being reviewed.
“As noted above, attempts to implement mitigation methods for popular absolute coverage are simply unreasonable. Ultimately, it will depend on each player if they comfortably attend the games, given the mitigation methods we are applying. »
Fans have until August 28 to notify the Cyclone Club or athletics price ticket if they plan not to attend the games this fall. The letter states that subscription holders can convert them into a fully tax-deductible Cyclone Club gift, defer the purchase of their price tickets from 2020 to 2021 and remain in their seat, or request a refund for the purchase of their subscription.
