SERGIO RAMOS is in “advanced negotiations” to move to MLS this summer, according to reports.
The 38-year-old Real Madrid legend returned to his childhood side Sevilla in the summer after two years at Paris Saint-Germain.
He has played 34 times this season – scoring seven goals – the team has struggled and languishes in 12th position in the La Liga table.
Ramos has only signed a contract until the end of the season and his contract is expected to be renewed.
Now, according to The Athletic, he is in talks to sign for San Diego FC.
The report says no deal has been reached or finalized, but talks are at an “advanced” level and the team is in position to play its first season next year.
Ramos is one of the most decorated defenders in football history.
He won La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey and 4 Champions Leagues at Real Madrid.
He won two Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain.
And abroad, he won two European Championships and the 2010 World Cup.
