Liverpool’s disabled list acquired some new names before Fulham, with Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsmikas in doubt for the clash with Londoners.
The duo, whether summer recruits, suffered a blow in Wednesday’s Champions League clash with FC Midtjylland, with their absences raising the number of permanently unavailable Liverpool players to seven.
Jurgen Klopp had been propelled through the return of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Nathrough Keita to the starting line-up in Denmark, and the duo followed their appearances from the bench in the Premier League victory over the Wolves.
Both deserve to be in the south, while Alisson also deserves to take over from Caoimhin Kelleher.
However, there is no turning back for Thiago Alcantara, James Milner or Xherdan Shaqiri, the duo who still join absentee Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez on the bench.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can secure a place on the team after Klopp proved that the former Arsenal player had returned to education with the first team.
England’s midfielder played at all in 2020/21 after injuring his knee in the preseason, but is now final in a comeback.
Klopp warned that Sunday’s clash may also come too soon for him, possibly being included in the team.
“He’s been in education for about a week, he’s now in full education and we’re going to see,” Klopp said Friday.
“So the scenario requires you to worry as soon as possible, but I don’t know if the weekend is already that. I’m afraid no one else is coming back. “
