Sevilla manager rates Man United as the ‘world team’ for the semi-finals

The Europa League semi-finals will begin next Sunday.

Manchester United reserved their position in the quarter-finals with a fierce 1-0 win over the Danish team Copenhagen.

The Red Devils were taken to overtime in the crash, before a penalty of Bruno Fernandes, won through Anthony Martial, even though everything made a decision.

United then learned of their conflicting parts in the semi-finals on Tuesday night, when Wolves and Europa League Sevilla faced off.

Although the wolves gave it their all, it would be The Seville that would emerge victorious in minutes.

United will now face Sevilla on Sunday, before the semi-final between Inter Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk takes place a day later.

As already mentioned, Sevilla has a very good record in the Europa League / UEFA Cup, and has won it more times than any other team in history (5).

La Liga’s squad is also doing very much against the English teams.

His last Premier League victims were, of course, the wolves. But Sevilla has also signed up for Middlesbrough and Liverpool in Europa League finals.

Despite his team’s pedigree in the competition, Julen Lopetegui does not take Man United lightly.

In fact, speaking before Seville’s next meeting with the Red Devils, the Spanish stratist even called United “the largest team in the world”:

“We’re going to play Manchester United in the next game; they are the biggest team in the world, but we’ll be ready for them.”

“We will do our best as we do. Playing against them will be really difficult, but we’ll enter it believing we can beat them.”
