GELSENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) – Shakhtar Donetsk beat Basel on Tuesday 4–1 to host a Europa League semi-final, Inter Milan.
Four Brazilians scored for the Ukrainian team before Ricky van Wolfswinkel scored a consolation goal for the Swiss team.
Moraes gave the Shakhtar the lead in the minute of the moment with a header from Marlos’ corner. It is the 25th goal of the Brazilian-born Ukrainian striker in all competitions, having scored two against Wolfsburg on the return of his 16th circular last week.
Mark António came close to adding a third when he hit the crossbar with a curling shot at 40. Raoul Petretta pulled out a clearing to save Moraes from the rebound.
Alan Patrick’s penalty in the pot sealed the Ukrainian team’s position in the semi-finals, before right-back Dodo added fourth.
Shakhtar will play at Inter Dusseldorf on 17 August. The latter will take position near Cologne 4 days later.
