Shakhtar Donetsk coach says Juventus crisis is puzzling

At the end of 2023, it looked like Juventus might be champions of Italy when they had reached good form and given Inter Milan a run for their money at the top of the Serie A table.

Most people didn’t expect a smart year from the Bianconeri, judging by how their summer affairs went, as they didn’t recruit a significant collaborator.

However, they outperformed in the early part of the season and early 2024 before things took a turn for the worse.

Juve are now third in the standings and are in danger of failing to qualify for the Champions League despite their strong start to the season.

Speaking about his crisis, Shakhtar Donetsk coach Carlo Nicolini said, quoted by Tuttomercatoweb:

“It’s hard to explain this phase. After a series of positive results, came an exceptionally negative series. Once the qualification for the Champions League was in sight, the difficulties in the relationship between the coach and the team became evident, there are players who are performing much less than their potential.

“I am amazed by the effects and performances of the last 8 days. I don’t know if the club has transparent concepts about the future, especially of Allegri, but also in relation to the players. I feel like Juve are wasting their time.

Juve FC says

We have had our ups and downs in this crusade, however, as the players return from the overseas break, we may get more highs for the rest of this season as we want them to finish the crusade well.
