Shakhtar Donetsk youngster Georgiy Sudakov has been dissuaded from joining Juventus after taking a closer look at his training.
The 21-year-old has one of the most promising talents in European football. He is now building himself as a pillar of his club and the Ukrainian national team.
Sudakov plays as an attacking midfielder, although he can also play as a complex left winger.
The youngster is aware of the Bianconeri’s interest in his services, which has led him to closely follow the club’s taste of play in recent times.
However, Sudakov realised that the Serie A giants only implement a 3-5-2 system under Max Allegri, which is not compatible with their characteristics.
“Since this story broke out, I started watching Juve games,” the Ukrainian star explained in an interview with local media outlet IlBianconero.
“My role as a player counts 100 per cent in my long-standing club’s national team.
“I’ve looked at Juventus and they only play in a 3-5-2 system, which is not a great scheme for me.
“But to succeed at certain levels, you can’t just play in 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 formations. You have to be a creative, flexible and adaptable footballer. You have to examine yourself every day.
In the same interview, Sudakov revealed that Shakhtar had secured official offers from Juventus and Napoli. The Ukrainian club rejected a €40 million offer from the Italian champions.
However, the young star hopes to sign for a big European club in the future, either this summer or next year.
His contract with Shakhtar is set to expire in December 2028.
