Swansea City’s new signing, Joel Latibeaudiere, has the brilliant recommendations of his former partner Conor Gallagher and Rhian Brewster, who convinced him to move to Liberty Stadium.
The 20-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Swans after joining a loose move from Manchester City, and has attracted interest from several league clubs this summer.
He will then join Marc Guehi and Morgan Gibbs-White, either along with the England U-17 team that won World Cup glory in 2017.
The ability to paint with Cooper back was seen as incredibly decisive in the movement, such as the approval of two other members of this English team.
Both Brewster and Gallagher enjoyed brilliant periods of transfer at Liberty Stadium last season outside Liverpool and Chelsea’s parent clubs respectively (Brewster joined Sheffield United), and Latibeaudiére hopes to adapt.
After completing his move, he told the club’s official website, “I’ve worked with Steve Cooper and Mike Marsh, and I have a lot of friends who have come here like Rhian, Conor, Marc and Morgan.
“Talking to them and seeing what it’s been like for them, the taste of football and everything around it, has been a vital thing in my Swansea team.
“They are all wonderful reviews of the club and how they enjoyed their stay here.
“I felt the club would give me the chance to expand and play football with the ball on deck. You look at other models and tactics to execute tactical concepts opposed to opponents.
“I love what I see, and listening to those guys and how they enjoyed betting on Swansea, I’m delighted to be here. “
The centre-back joined after spending seven years at Manchester City, where he came from Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott.
And he hopes to bring some of that star to Liberty Stadium.
“There are some great stars I learned a lot from, someone like Vinny when he was there, for example,” he added.
“There were also other people like Joleon Lescott, with whom I got very involved, and running with a team like that just desirable to see how they settled down and how they faced opposition in England and Europe.
“You have to soak everything, on and off the field. All those little things, they’re so professional and they do everything they can to maximize performance.
“It’s desirable for me, a wonderful learning curve, and I need to take all that to Swansea. “
