Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour wrote a message to supporters of the Premier League champions as part of a meeting with club officials this week.
Head coach Pep Guardiola travelled to the Middle East after a charity golf tournament in Spain, where he joined director Txiki Begiristain, general manager Ferran Soriano and chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak for a special assembly with the club’s owner.
The swap with Sheikh Mansour comes at a time for Manchester City, who are handing the club owner the 3 trophies they won last season, adding their fourth consecutive Premier League crown.
Guardiola’s presence alongside Sheikh Mansour also comes at a time when the Catalan strategist is weighing his characteristics heading into the final year of his contract with Manchester City, and amid ongoing speculation about his own future.
Writing in a statement on his official X (formerly Twitter) channel, Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour revealed his meeting with key figures from the Etihad Stadium, and the nature of their exchange in Abu Dhabi this week.
“I have met with Manchester City officials,” Sheikh Mansour announced.
“I thank the club’s top management, training and players for their efforts, which have led the team to achieve remarkable achievements in recent years, as well as winning the name of the English Premier League for 4 consecutive seasons.
“I wish the team continued to have good luck in the upcoming competitions. “
Cheikh Mansour and Manchester City will make their top-tier investment in the Premier League champions this summer, on and off the pitch, with recruitment plans already underway for Pep Guardiola’s first team.
Elsewhere, infrastructure innovations are also underway on the grounds of the Etihad Campus, with the expansion of the stadium’s ‘Family Stand’ recently underway, with a new hotel and fan delight centre under construction.
The city will also install specially designed facilities for women’s football at the City Football Academy, adjacent to the Etihad Stadium, home and home of Gareth Taylor’s women’s Super League team.
