CHARLOTTE, N. C. (theACC. com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced its championship dates, venues and tournament formats for the 2024-25 educational year. The ACC, which comprises 18 schools for next year with the addition of Cal, SMU and Stanford, sponsors 28 sports, totaling 15 women’s and thirteen men’s. The No Power four Conference sponsors more than 28 sports or 15 women’s sports.
“The year ahead is shaping up to be exciting for our schools, our student-athletes, and their fans,” said CCA Commissioner Jim Phillips, Ph. D. “We are incredibly excited to welcome you to our new schools at Cal, SMU and Stanford. and show our wonderful championship to our student-athletes, coaches and fans. Once again, we have a wonderful mix of campuses and professional venues, adding our football championship and men’s basketball tournament in Charlotte.
As previously announced, the 20th annual ACC Football Championship Game returns to Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the 14th time in 15 years on Saturday, December 7.
The Greensboro Coliseum is the Ally ACC women’s basketball tournament for the 25th time in 26 years, March 5-9, and the ACC men’s basketball tournament will be held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, from 11- March, 15th. returns to the Queen City for the fourteenth time overall and first since 2019.
The first ACC Championship of the 2024-25 academic calendar will take place on November 1, when NC State hosts men’s and women’s country in Cary, North Carolina.
Twenty-seven men’s and women’s Olympic championships are scheduled, and volleyball will determine its champion after the regular season.
