Tottenham Hotspur have started the January transfer window strongly with the acquisition of highly-rated goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague.
Since he arrived at White Hart Lane, the glovesman from the Czech Republic has made a very good impression across the two games he has played for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
After a few training sessions, he was sent off in the Spurs manager’s final against Liverpool in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool at home. The youngster performed exceptionally well on his debut, drawing attention with his composure on the ball and ability to distribute, while maintaining a very important blank sheet against the Premier League leaders.
Against non-league side Tamworth FC in the FA Cup on Sunday, Antonin Kinsky produced another forged outing between the sticks and kept his clean sheets in as many games. The 21-year-old has shown plenty of prospects overall, delighting Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham fans.
Slavia Prague manager Přemysl Kovář has revealed that Tottenham beat Napoli because of Kinsky’s signaling. Napoli nose.
“The precedence of agreeing on a move now this winter, with Tonda [Kinský] remaining on loan until the end of the season,” Přemysl Kovář told Czech Republican media Live Sport.

Kovář has expressed his wonder with Tottenham’s technique and stated this when asked how the North Londoners controlled to beat the Naples-based outfit to Kinsky’s signature.

“Their owner, Daniel Levy, came here to negotiate the transfer, so things temporarily reached a point where the negotiations were between [Slavia president Jaroslav] Tvrdík and Mr. Levy and then it was dynamic.

Huge credit to Daniel Levy for acting swiftly to address the goalkeeping situation by signing Kinsky. As per Slavia Prague’s sporting director, Kinsky was off to Napoli but Levy did well to topple the Serie A side and bring the hugely talented glovesman to North London. Also, plaudits to the recruitment team who not only secured a player with a huge ceiling but did so at a bargain price.
As the season progresses, Kinsky’s contributions may prove crucial, especially in a season that will test the intellectual toughness and intensity of the players’ team.
