December 30 (UPI) – AC Milan Paulo Fonseca and appointed veteran trainer Sergio Conceicao as his replacement, the Italian franchise of Seria A Soccer announced on Monday.
Fonseca appointed Milan coach in June. The Rossoneri (red and black) remained undefeated in their first five games, but they had 12-6-5 in their last 23 games, including Fonseca.
He finished his tenure in Milan with a 15-6-7 record.
He last competed in Porto. He was in 2017 in the Portuguese Primeira Liga Club. Concicao left in June, just nine after winning the Portuguese Cup.
He also led French Ligue 1 club Nantes, Portuguese clubs Prémeira Liga Vitoria Guimarae and Braga and Academica and Olhanais, two clubs of diminished points in the Portuguese system.
“The club expresses a warm welcome to Sergio and his staff, wishing a complete adventure of good fortune and satisfaction,” said Milan.
