(Reuters) – West Ham United coach David Moyes said Tuesday that his Manchester United counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is building an exciting team after spending time in the draws, anything the Scot felt he hadn’t had at Old Trafford.
Moyes, who replaced veteran United coach Alex Ferguson in 2013, was fired after just 10 months in command, however, the 57-year-old coach said he was looking to return to his former team for Wednesday’s crash.
“Ole has had a complicated start, but the difference between Ole and me is that he has time. Bring players from the academy, which United has represented,” Moyes said at a press conference.
“Now they have their own really exciting young players… It’s a glorious club and a wonderful position, and the biggest club in the world, for me. It’s a special position to pass and I can’t wait to get back. “
Solskjaer’s United was on a 19-match unbearable streak in all competitions before Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday.
West Ham has won their last two league games, scoring seven goals to climb with 37 points, with two days left and Premier League survival in sight.
“Mathematics tells us that homework hasn’t been done yet, so we need to get ready and make sure we’re in a position for the next game and take the 3 issues if we can,” Moyes said.
“We haven’t replaced our approach. We train every day and prepare well because we need to improve, not only for this season, but also for the future.”
Moyes said Czech midfielder Tomas Soucek, who relented through Slavia Prague in January, is part of his long-term plans. “He’s a West Ham player, as undeniable as that,” Moyes said.
