Kyle Walker-Peters has put his pen on paper on a five-year contract with Southampton, while his 12 million pound movement from Tottenham is almost complete, football insider has understood.
The online page revealed Monday that the 23-year-old underwent a medical examination at St Mary’s and in complex conversations about the terms of his contract.
A source of the Saints told Football Insider that the right-back had signed a long-term contract and that the documents had been filed.
The defender, a graduate of Tottenham’s youth system, first joined Southampton on loan in the winter movement window.
However, the Saints had no option or legal responsibility to buy Walker-Peters, as the South Coast team retracted the value spurs demanded of 15 million pounds.
Tottenham has now agreed to a 12 million pound payment for his departure and his signing is expected to be announced through Southampton in the near future.
He played a total of 10 times for Southampton in his transition season at St Mary’s and played revealingly in each of the club’s matches after the blockade.
