Southampton leads uk in civil, electrical and electronic engineering

The University of Southampton 1st place in the UK in civil engineering and electrical and electronic engineering at the Guardian University Guide in 2021.

The electrical and electronics engineering rating in Southampton continues for 11 consecutive years in the Guardian Guide’s 10 most sensitive UK, hitting first in 2011-14 and again in 2016-17.

Civil engineering has now been ranked among the 10 most sensitive parents in the UK for seven consecutive years and mechanical engineering has been among the UK’s top 10 in 10 of the last 12 years, adding a maximum of 4 consecutive years (2010-2013).

Professor Phil Nelson, Acting Dean of Engineering and Physical Sciences, said: “Taking first place in civil, electrical and electronic engineering, and the sixth in mechanical engineering, is a great tribute to the harsh paintings for many years of our university’s academics.It also shows how our well-established study strength can be used to maintain world-class delight for undergraduate academics.

The Guardian University Guide is fully aimed at undergraduate studies, with grades based on admission fees, student satisfaction, graduate prospects, student proportions by staff, and student-consistent college expenses. Unlike other qualifications, the Guide places more emphasis on its thematic tables to count the overall institution ranking.
