The Aggies relied on their ground play and forged the defense on a rainy, soaked afternoon when the rain fell and made it difficult to get through. Kellen Mond hit a 105-yard pass at the lowest point of the season in his first game this season without a landing pass. LSU’s 123 pass defense broke eight of his passes in the first half and ended with 11.
“Our offense was too irregular, it didn’t get a rhythm (but) our team figured out a way to win the game and that’s what’s important,” Coach Jimbo Fisher said.
TJ Finley pitched for 118 yards and had an intercept at the time of the fourth for LSU (3-4) before being sent to the bench by Max Johnson after Buddy Johnson’s Pick-6 in the third quarter.

Max Johnson, who played in the first half, finished the game and passed for 113 yards and a 3-yard landing pass that put the score 20-7 with less than a minute to play.
Spiller had a 52-yard touchdown, dragging a defender with him by the two yards, to increase Texas A’s lead
The Tigers gave the impression that they had reduced the lead to 3 in a long capture of TD through Kayshon Boutte with approximately nine minutes to play in the quarter of a moment, but the piece reviewed and considered an incomplete pass.
The Aggies recovered the ball on the next play when Finley’s pass knocked down and intercepted via Jaylon Jones.
