Manchester United officials are frustrated by what they see as stories of intentionally placed fake moves that attract player interest and raise prices.
Last week, the Portuguese media connected the club with a resolution through Wolves striker Raúl Jimenez, a story a United connoisseur described as “absolute nonsense.”
At Old Trafford, club agents are trusted to be a simple goal and that if they can put them in touch with safe players, it will be in their own interest. “Jimenez’s story on the BBC’s online page probably didn’t help,” the source added.
